Recruitment has come a long way since running classified ads or posting positions on company billboards. If it was an executive position recruitment agents might consider splashing out on a display ad in a local daily or weekly business magazine or trade magazine. The last 25 years has seen an incredible technological change. The way we live, conduct commerce, communicate, and interact in general have been revolutionised. Recruitment is another area that technology has changed the way we live and operate. Today the recruiter’s box of tricks and gadgetry is almost endless. Recruitment technology will not make the placement for you, but it will post jobs, search CV’s and even tell you if the candidate is good for the job based on the CV. Recruitment technology allows you to record candidate information, post candidate information, post job adverts and track responses.

Things have changed but the better enabling recruitment agencies to work more efficiently and effectively. The use of recruitment technologies will continue to expand in the industry as new and better technologies become available. In order to stay ahead of the game or at least stay current recruitment agencies need to identify which recruitment solutions best suit their need and apply them vigorously.
